Bangkok to Saigon Cycle Tour

A fully supported cycle tour through Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam is a great choice for the active traveler. Together we will travel from dynamic Bangkok; to the mysterious Angkor Wat – one of the World’s must see heritage sites and onto the mighty Mekong Delta before concluding our tour in Saigon. Along the way we’ll encounter a variety of beach and country landscapes and interact with friendly locals. With its gentle terrain, medium daily distances, and gorgeous scenery, this trip is a great option.

Day 1 – Bangkok- Lopburi (D)
Rendezvous at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport and shuttle north to Lopburi
Day 2 – Lopburi – Muak Lek (B,L) (Cycled 70km)
Cycle out of Lopburi through the towering karst outcropping that lie to the east. The riding follows quiet farm roads and rural highways through small villages and past colorful temples.
Day 3 – Khao Yai National Park (B,L) (Cycled 42km)
A short morning ride takes us through river valleys and farmlands, surrounded by slowly rising mountains. drive up to the top of the mountain range and enjoy some hikes to see the waterfalls – Pa Kluai
Day 4 – Wang Nam Khiao (B,L) (Cycled 61 km)
The magnificent mountains of Khao Yai National Park form a picturesque backdrop on our right, as we traverse their northern valleys
Day 5 – Sa Keaw (B,L,D) (Cycled 65km)
After breakfast we will shuttle a bit into the mountains, avoiding the long uphill, then enjoy a mostly downhill ride along the border between Khao Yai National Park and Tablan National Park.
Day 6 – To Aranyaprathet- Siem Reap (B,L) (Cycled 45km)
Drive to Aranyaprathet and the border with Cambodia where your Cambodia guide awaits. On arrival in Poipet, we cycle to the town of Sisophon where we have lunch and then travel by bus to Siem Reap.
Day 7: Angkor Wat by bicycle (B,L) (Cycled 35km)
Today, we may choose to have an early start to avoid the inevitable crowds drawn to the wonders of Angkor. South Gate of Angkor Thom, Elephant Terrace, Baphoun, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas,
Day 8: Siem Reap- Rolous Temple- Beng Mealea (B,L) (Cycled 54km)
A full day today in the saddle, exploring the countryside and temples. Ride on quiet country roads, through villages and past Kh’ mer pagodas, lotus ponds and rice paddies. This is a peaceful day in the ambience of Cambodia’s countryside.
Day 9: Beng Mealea – Kampong Thom (B,L) (Cycled 54 km)
Your ride takes you around the top of the lake, through Kampong Thom Province and then into Kampong Cham Province..
Day 10: Kampong Thom – Kampong Cham (B,L) (Cycled 80 km)
Your ride takes you around the top of the lake, through Kampong Thom Province and then into Kampong Cham Province.
Day 11: Kam Pong Cham – Phnom Penh (B,L) (Cycled 60km)
One of the most interesting rides of the trip, today you ride along the Mekong River bank on a small dirt road through Cham Villages who survive on fish from the Mekong and small scale vegetable and animal farming.
Day 12 Cycle to Vietnam (B,L) (Cycled 70km)
This morning, we drive south along National Road 2 through the town of Takeo. Here, the road becomes quieter and we mount our bikes for the 50km ride to the Phnom Den / Tinh Bien border. Cycle in Chau Doc.
Day 13 Chau Doc- Long Xuyen- Cai Be (B,L,D) (Cycled 80km)
Transfer by road to Long Xuyen, where we take a public ferry across the river. From here, we begin cycling along a scenic quiet road, lined with small villages and dwellings, towards Vinh Long. Leaving the bikes on the mainland, we take another boat (20 mins) to reach our homestay on an island in the Mekong delta.
Day 14 Cai Be- My Tho – Saigon (Cycled 35km)
We leave by boat, stopping en route for a look at the Cai Be floating market. We continue by bus to Cai Lay where we begin a scenic ride through fruit orchards and along the Mekong riverbank. Back on the bus in My Tho, we drive on to Saigon.
Day 15 Depart Saigon (B)
Transfer to airport for your onward flight.

Please read the following booking conditions carefully as they set out the terms and conditions of the contract between you and the Pioneer Asia Holidays.
RESERVATION & PAYMENT
All bookings will be confirmed by Pioneer Asia Holidays in writing along with confirmation of balance payment details. A deposit as required by us and the amount of which will be advised at the time of booking. Followed by the final balance of the cost by a specified date. The tour balance for all bookings will be direct debited from the payment details given at the time of booking 45 days prior to the departure date of the tour; if there is a failure to complete the payment Pioneer Asia Holidays reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
TOUR PRICES AND VALIDITY:
Prices quoted in USD per person in twin shared basis. Itineraries and prices are valid from the most relevant edition of the website & the time of printing our brochure in October 2015 until 31 Sep 2018. Pioneer Asia Holidays reserves the right to change any of the facilities, services, prices, itineraries or vehicles described in the brochure or online without being liable for compensation or refund.
CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENT POLICY
Cancellation and Amendment: Any cancellation or amendment request must be sent to us in writing and will not take effect until received by us. If you cancel or amend your booking the principal(s) or supplier(s) may charge the cancellation or amendment charge shown in their Terms and Conditions (which may be 100% of the cost of the travel arrangements) and you must pay us a cancellation or amendment charge of a minimum of $30 per person.
If You Cancel Your Holiday: You, or any member of your party, may cancel your travel arrangements at any time. Written notification from the person who made the booking or your travel agent on your behalf must be received at our offices. Since we incur costs in cancelling your travel arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below; depending how many days in advance of the departure date we receive the cancellation instruction:
