Day 01: Arrival Yangon
Arrive at the airport, meet our guide and transfer to hotel. Visit Sule Pagoda, colonial downtown, the harbor, the Strand, one of the colorful local markets and the reclining Buddha. Take the famous circular train.
Day 02: Yangon – Bago – Golden Rock (B)
Depart to Kyaikhtiyo via Bago, an ancient Mon capital city. On the way, visit Kyat Khet Wine Monastery before heading to one of Myanmar’s Landmarks : Kyaiktiyo the “Golden Rock” . This is one of Burma’s most important pilgrimage sites. Climb up to the pagoda. Admire the fantastic panorama.
Day 03: Golden Rock – Yangon (B)
Short walk to a small cave and stop at the roadside shops for rare product of jungle. Then, drive down to the base camp and return to Yangon. On the way, visit the most important sight of the Mon People. In Bago, visit Shwemawdaw and Shwethalyaung Pagoda. Visit Handicraft Centre, Hinthargone Pagoda and Kanbawza Thardi Palace.
Day 04: Yangon – Mandalay – Sagaing – Ava- Amarapura – Mandalay (B)
Flight to Mandalay. Proceed to Amarapura. Visit Mahagandayon monastery, Ava & Sagaing, U Bein bridge. Return to Mandalay, visit the gold leave workshop, Khuthodaw Pagoda & Shwekyaungdaw. Sunset at Mandalay Hill.
Day 05: Mandalay – Mingun- Mandalay (B)
Board the Road To Mandalay and enjoy a scenic river cruise to Mingun. On arrival, visit the world’s largest brick-built pagoda and uncracked bell. Return to Mandalay by boat, enjoying lunch on board. Then, visit Mahamuni (“Great Sage”) Pagoda, the holiest site of Mandalay.
Day 06: Mandalay – Bagan (B)
Embark a traditional boat for a scenic cruise along the mighty Ayeyarwady river, which runs the length of the country. Treasures can be admired which have for so long been hidden from the world’s gaze… Arrive in Bagan in the afternoon.
Day 07: Bagan (B)
Full day visit includes the famous temples & pagodas such as Pahtothamya, Mahabodhi Paya, Ngakywenadaung Paya, Dhammayangyi Pahto, Thatbyinnyu Temple, Dhamma Yangyi Temple, Schwegugyi Temple, Gawdaw Pallin Temple etc. Admire the beautiful sunset over the temples.
Day 08: Bagan Community Tour (B,L)
Immerse yourself in the local culture around Bagan. Commence at the Ngat Pyit Monastery to visit the ancient spiritual caves before stopping at the village primary school. Interacting with the hospitable students. Travel to Nyaung U village to learn about the traditional crafts such as lacquer ware, bullock carts, and jam making.
Day 09: Bagan – Mount Popa – Kalaw (B)
Travel to Kalaw via Mount Popa, an extinct volcano which is believed to be home to the ‘nats’, ancient Burmese animist spirits. Climb to the summit to admire the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Continue to Kalaw.
Day 10: Kalaw – Pindaya – Inle Lake (B)
Morning visit to Kalaw, a British colonial town, then drive to Pindaya. Upon arrival visit the Pindaya caves – unique for the thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over many centuries and Shan traditional bamboo umbrella making. The journey continues on a narrow, winding road through the Shan Hills to Inle Lake.
Day 11: Inle Lake (B)
Boat cruise on Inle Lake to see the Intha – fishermen rowing with their legs, pagoda on artificial islands in the lake, floating gardens. Continue to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the main principle shrines of Myanmar. Visit the NgaPheChaung Monastery and the weaving village of Inpawkhon.
Day 12: Inle Lake – Kakku – Inle (B)
Drive through pine-clad hills to Taunggyi, capital of Southern Shan State and a former British hill station. Walk to the Market and the famous pagoda in Taunggyi. Then, continue to Kakku, cluster of hundreds of ancient pagodas. A Pa O guide leads a tour around the area and introduces the customs and life of the Pa O people in the villages.
Back to Inle.
Day 13: Inle Lake/Heho – Yangon -Circle train tour (B)
Morning flight to Yangon. Board the Yangon’s circular train for up to an hour’s journey. The landscape constantly changes from rundown buildings and dusty streets to green vegetable gardens and peaceful villages. Disembark to visit Kyi Myin Daing and Historical Market called Scott Market. End the day at China Town.
Day 14: Yangon (B)
At leisure until transfer to airport for your departure.

Please read the following booking conditions carefully as they set out the terms and conditions of the contract between you and the Pioneer Asia Holidays.
RESERVATION & PAYMENT
All bookings will be confirmed by Pioneer Asia Holidays in writing along with confirmation of balance payment details. A deposit as required by us and the amount of which will be advised at the time of booking. Followed by the final balance of the cost by a specified date. The tour balance for all bookings will be direct debited from the payment details given at the time of booking 45 days prior to the departure date of the tour; if there is a failure to complete the payment Pioneer Asia Holidays reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
TOUR PRICES AND VALIDITY:
Prices quoted in USD per person in twin shared basis. Itineraries and prices are valid from the most relevant edition of the website & the time of printing our brochure in October 2015 until 31 Sep 2018. Pioneer Asia Holidays reserves the right to change any of the facilities, services, prices, itineraries or vehicles described in the brochure or online without being liable for compensation or refund.
CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENT POLICY
Cancellation and Amendment: Any cancellation or amendment request must be sent to us in writing and will not take effect until received by us. If you cancel or amend your booking the principal(s) or supplier(s) may charge the cancellation or amendment charge shown in their Terms and Conditions (which may be 100% of the cost of the travel arrangements) and you must pay us a cancellation or amendment charge of a minimum of $30 per person.
If You Cancel Your Holiday: You, or any member of your party, may cancel your travel arrangements at any time. Written notification from the person who made the booking or your travel agent on your behalf must be received at our offices. Since we incur costs in cancelling your travel arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below; depending how many days in advance of the departure date we receive the cancellation instruction:
